Yippee.
Good old Live Search Club… first a free wireless PC headset, now this.
Also, a coworker gave me a 20GB U2 edition iPod (4th gen) that “wasn’t working”. It was out of warranty, so she didn’t want to drop $200 on a repair when she could get a new one for $250. Turns out the hard drive was just a little loose.
Considering that I just lost my 5-year-old Nomad to a busted headphone jack, getting ~50GB of media player goodness for free isn’t half bad.
Right here I have a bunch of photos of a place I was told was a tuberculosis sanitorium – a place that people with TB went back in the early 20th century to be quarantined.
That may or may not be true; there’s nothing I’ve found to disprove that claim. But there is an interesting story and accompanying set of photos of the same place on an urban exploration website.
